BIOGRAPHY
A seasoned performer and enthusiastic educator, Leslie Godfrey holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in oboe performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University), where she studied with Matt Sullivan. She has performed in China, as well as several countries in Europe, and has given several American premieres of pieces by British composers. During her master's degree, she began to explore the world of electronic and contemporary music, and has performed works for oboe and CD, as well as improvisatory works for oboe and delay system. She is an active freelance musician in the tri-state area; in addition to performing alongside Ray Charles in 2002 and Jeremy Irons in 2011, she performs with groups such as the Trenton Symphony, Boheme Opera NJ, the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, and many other area ensembles.As an educator, Leslie has been teaching privately for several years. She currently works at the Professional Music Academy in Woodbridge as the program director and oboe instructor, and is also the executive director of New Horizons Music of Woodbridge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Leslie teaches group lessons, presents masterclasses, and conducts the New Horizons Band of Woodbridge. In addition, she is the founder and facilitator for ECOrhythms, an environmentally-friendly drum circle program, and develops and organizes drumming and music programs for community events. Leslie also oversees the New Horizons Community Chorus and the New Horizons Little Big Band. Most recently, Leslie became a Music Together teacher for Music Together of Edison and Woodbridge.

REEDS
All reeds are handmade and individually tested to ensure good tone, stability, intonation, and response. Available in easy, medium, and hard strengths. Reeds are tied on at 73mm on 47mm staples, unless requested otherwise.$12 oboe reed blank (tied, but not scraped)$16 oboe reed (scraped and finished)If your order is going to be shipped to you, please add $5 to your total. All reeds will be packaged in individual plastic containers, and sent in a padded envelope.
CANE
CANE
Leslie uses Alliaud cane (please specify 10-10.5mm or 10.5-11mm diameter). All cane is split, pregouged, gouged, and shaped by hand. For her reeds, Leslie uses an RDG 1 shaper tip.
